You cannot compare Mac OS X with Windows in memory usage.
OK - but linux has just the same text there.
Do we need the "PowerPC compatible G3" any more or is 10.4
sufficient?
I just mentioned the PowerPC backt then because some folks tried to
run OS X on pre G3 Macs and complained that OOo won't run on them.
I know it's just crazy but those folks are out there.
I asked just because: Can you install 10.4. on such a Machine? Or is
"!0.4." as prerequisite sufficient to exclude such things
Take a look at:
http://www.apple.com/macosx/techspecs/
where it says min of 256 MB RAM.
Any machine that runs 10.4.
512MB of RAM is recommended for optimal performance,
The next reason was that all the other OS have a processor
specified only Mac was missing. I don't know if this is still the
case but back then it was.
Mac users mostly don't care for Processors, just for Panthers and
Tigers :-)
As long as the respecive OS runs and there is enough RAM then there
shouldn't be a problem.

Forget it. I once had this settings in the text and a day later
Louis complained and insisted that he can run OOo on a Mac with
128MB changed it back to 128MB RAM.
We will also need to update the web pages. You may have been able to
do it with 1.0.3, but not with 2.1.
At 256MB of RAM it will run, but not reasonably to recommend it.
