If people ask for snapshots publicated on the list, I completely
agree, but I'm not sure it will be accepted (we discussed the
point several times already during IRC meetings).
Last, I do provide regular snapshots with last cws ( including
Leopard compatibility I'm testing since some times, and soon
other goodies), but since they are unofficial and happily hacked
snapshots, I prefer provide the link off list, and on demand.
FWIW, as someone who likes to test the progress of development,
it's helpful when these links come across. I don't always have
time anymore now that summer is over to have my comp setup to
compile from source, so I've thus become laxed in keeping up, but
when the builds are posted like yesterday I am very inclined to
download and give it a go. I don't follow the releases list,
doesn't make sense to - I'm a mac-only guy and there's more there
then I care to junk up my box with.
Again, fwiw - I appreciate the posting of those links.
Pax.
I also appreciate the posting of the links. The release list has
nothing of interest to me other than the Mac releases.
I thought that many people would have this opinion. Though I do
wonder if ordinary users are happy to hear about the developer talk
that goes on.
AnnI have been using the milestone releases of the Aqua version. I
like it much better than the X11 version and have had very few
problems with it. I'm looking forward to it using the native
printing dialogue - soon, I hope.
Unfortunately the good-day server wouldn't cope with the demand with
all the aqua milestones and all the interest that would be generated.
The mirror and bittorrent networks are needed (at least for the most
commonly requested builds).
