Hi Eric,

OOo 2.4.0 X11 for Mac OSX Intel from source m237 finally built
in 12 hours. Great stuff. Now I shall run a few tests on it, but after
I've done TCM on 2.3.1 :-)

Thank you for your work.

Feel free to ask if you have other questions.

For the moment, I have just two :

1) the end diskimage is called 2.4.0. I take it that this is because the source code is in the 2.4 branch ? I'm also assuming that you can change
this name with a configure flag, but which one ?

2.4 has not yet been branched. These builds are on their way to 2.4, and we are almost there to be branched. There will be no more UI changes, just code changes. No new features (other than those already agreed to go in) will be allowed into 2.4.

2) how can one install several different versions of OOo Mac on the same
machine ? That way I could run tests on multiple versions.

All you do is copy the .app bundle to a different location or give it a different name if you want it in the Applications folder.

I've noticed in the wiki build instructions page for MAc OSX that build
time can be significantly reduced by using ccache. I'll have a read up
about it and see whether I can get my head around it.

ccache is very easy and fast to install from source. You can just download it from http://ccache.samba.org/
