No, I'm not asking him to decide, but recommend.
He is the lead of MacOSX porting team, so his recommendation
is important, and I'm not talking about how he recommend.
Decision making process for recommendation :) is up to him.
For Joe Mac User, when they got to the About dialog, they currently
see that maho has built that version of OpenOffice.org. Although
everyone on this list will know who maho is. Unfortunately Joe Mac
User is unlikely to know who maho is. They might even think that they
aren't actually using an official build. Using the vendor in the
$subject will show that we mean serious business, and that it is an
official build.
I know the subversion project runs a strict policy of not placing
names of authors in source files. [1]
Having ideas coming up from the grass roots users and developers is
always a good thing.
