Further reports from my MacBook... ;)
When I try to "Save As", I get a dialogue as tall as my laptop
screen, which is mostly blank. It doesn't show the file browser
window etc., only (at the top) "Save As : Untitled", the arrow to
compress the file browser (which is not shown) and the bottom-row
items (hide extension, new folder, cancel, save).
Should be fixed with aquafilepicker02, but I'm not sure it will be
in m243. Probaly the next one
Good to hear. I did search under "open save dialogs" but did not
find any issues.
I think some of this, at least, has to do with compatability with
Default Folder X (which enhances Open and Save dialogues): I got
the "normal" Save dialogue after turning off DFX and restarting
OOo. Once I turned DFX on again, I got the endless-width dialogue
again, and had to force-quit again.
Interesting. I thik Florian Heckl, who wrote aquafilepicker02 could
be interested.
I would be happy to test for him. DFX is widely used, and is well-
supported.
Also, what strings _do_ appear in these Open/Save dialogues are
completely untranslated. The interface is 100% translated in our
Vietnamese builds. The main interface, and other dialogues I open,
are translated.
I'm not sure for your locale, but does create vi.lproj folder in
the Bundle (Inside the Bundle, in Contents/Resource exactly), help ?
To create the folder, right click + choose : display package
content -> Contents -> Resources
Just creating one? I did, then restarted OOo, but the strings in the
Open/Save dialogues were still untranslated.
The system can take over some strings, mainly in the dialog boxes,
and it works for sure for
(the rest of that sentence was missing)
It's important to us that all strings display in our language,
because Vietnamese is _not_ one of the languages in which you can
get OSX. So you're relying completely on the translated program.
It seems that Apple hasn't translated the UI strings for the save and
open dialogs, so these will need to be done manually. I don't know the
best process for this.
Remember that you also need to go into the International preferences
and reorder the languages so that Vietnamese is at the top.
