You're addressing the wrong person :-) Eric B. shares the same

QA in the germanophone project.
You surely are not alone with this (I'm with Eric, James and you
too). But as long such discussions are held by private mails or
chats and not made "official" on a project mailing list, how to
interfere?
Surely we are not even considering releasing a build in which the
Open and Save dialogues don't work? :o
There is currently a work around for the currently broken file
dialogs. Go into the preferences, and choose the General tab. Then
tick the box for "Use OpenOffice.org dialogs" under the heading "Open/
Save dialogs".
The real fix is currently in the pipeline.

I'm keen to go on testing the Aqua bulds, and I look forward to when
they are released, but we are most definitely not there yet.
EXPERIMENTAL or TESTING is the sort of public filename tag we need.
I haven't even started testing the Aqua builds for issues with my
language. (My language is a test case for Unicode support.) And I
can't start testing it properly until I can open and save files. We
have a lot of detailed work to do yet.
