Howdy Mac Devs! I am just getting started in the Cocoa/XCode Mac development world, and I am quite interested in using the Open Office system to get my feet wet. I am pretty familiar with cocoa syntax and I am pretty familiar with programming in general (5 years experience primarily in Java and C#-- recently more C++ and hopefully Cocoa).
I know that you guys are trying to port the Open Office platform from using X11 to using the native Aqua interface-- a noble cause! I would like to help out in some way in the actual development of this platform. Can someone give me a pointer as to where to begin. I realize getting the source would probably be a good starting point, where does this code live? What tools do I need? (I have XCode 3.0 -- just got my MacBook -- replacement for my iBook yesterday). Any help you can give me to get started writing software with you guys would be excellent and greatly appreciated. I look forward to helping out on this very interesting project.
