Hi,
if it helps, I could at least test kooperation with a CANON LIDE90
Thanks a lot for the information. Just curious, what is kooperation ?
a KDE software ? Sorry, I don't know this application.
The only application I know ( I paid for the professional use) is
VueScan, and it works well, with exotic scanners like Cannon FS4000
(high resolution for slides).
(Which seem to get activated by OOo, but cannot be used, it is not
shown for selection)
Well, this is interesting too. Did you install the TWAIN SANE (+ SANE
backends + libusb ++ ) ? I mean http://www.ellert.se/twain-sane/
FYI, the current situation on Mac OS X is :
- either you install the TWAIN/SANE stuff, and youcan use your
scanner from inside the OpenOffice.org - needs some tuning anyway -
- or you scan using the application shipped with your scanner, save
the file, and open / insert it in OpenOffice.org. (works always :-) )
- or, and this is the point, we implement a new feature, allowing to
use the scanner directly from OpenOffice.org. But the work has to be
done :)
(The Scanner is connected to my PPC Mac MINI. this might as well be
an ppc issue)
Not sure, maybe a simple preferences issue, or a bad configuration.
FYI, i fyou installe the TWAIN / SANE application from the site
above, I'd suggest you to install the SANE preferences Pane too, thus
you'll probably be able to fix the issue by yourself.
Regards,
Eric Bachard
