who is in charge there? I mean, I do not want to violate current
policy, I would like to see it changed and I would like to have some
kind of pre-approvement before we proceed. As this can be big change
from user POV, I think we should integrate it in some bigger release
like 3.2 or better 4.0.
The Renaissance project [1] seems to be the perfect occasion to do
that, don't you think ?
No, it isn't.
We don't need to reinvent the wheel for implementing what already
exists in the Aqua Human Interface Guidelines since ages, means
respect the *BASICS* on Mac OS X.
So far, the need is perfectly known: the Mac users cry (and I
strongly approve them) because they want us to respect the minimal.
What we need is :
- an inventory (started on the wiki long time ago) of what is exactly
missing, and needs to be implemented.
- a list of potential problems with locales or whatever
- a decision
- volunteers doing that
Last, an IRC meeting + announce the choices on the list + complete
the wiki page should be a good compromise.

Eric Bachard
