If you don't know where to find "/usr" then I think I need to be a bit
more specific in what you should do to figure out if and what version
of MacFUSE is installed.

Start "Terminal.app" located in Applications -> Utilities.

Type the following:

/Library/Filesystems/fusefs.fs/Support/autoinstall-macfuse-core -p

Please copy the output in a reply email. If you see "No such file or
directory" then the latest MacFUSE is not installed. Otherwise you
will get some cryptic output that contains the installed version
number.
