I pretty much agree with Jerry about Premier, but he didn't address IE.

What hasn't been pointed out by a lot of the observers is that Mac IE 
wasn't really killed; it was rolled into Microsoft's new MSN for 
Macintosh, which is not a free product. They're doing the same thing 
with IE for Windows in that newer versions will only be available as 
part of operating system upgrades costing $100 or more.

I think the IE discontinuation was pretty much to be expected, now that 
Microsoft has been anointed by the Justice Department as the winner of 
the browser wars. They used their market dominance to win the war by 
giving away the product for a few years to bleed all the competition. 
Now they're earning back the money they invested.

It's a nice example of how to take advantage of a monopoly. They stole 
the browser market fair and square.
