Hey Folks,

What are your thoughts on partitioning? I've been in the habit of
partitioning my disk into 1 partition for each system and one
partition for everything else (applications, files, etc.) ever since
about 1992. It did save me once when I hacked around in OS X to the
point where I had to do a clean reinstall. It has also had its
drawbacks, mostly in that it made some things into a hassle.

Is the system/data partitioning scheme still a worthwhile thing to
do, or has it become something which has real drawbacks?

I ask, because I'm getting a new computer, and am sitting here
wondering whether I should go through the partitioning game or not.

Bill
