You may not be aware that Polaroid has a nifty "free" Dust and Scratch removal tool. It can be used as a stand alone app or Photoshop Plug-in. (probably Elements too) Install the plug-in something like Applications/Adobe(version)./Plug-Ins/Adobe Photoshop Only/Filters. Elements should be similar. It's more intuitive than the APS dust/scratches filter. If you have a problem opening a file using it as a stand alone app, right click the file, choose open with, Polaroid Dust & Scratch Removal. In stand alone the Detect Dust and Scratch feature helps with seeing what you really have. Saved my bacon on the 375 picture scan job a few days ago. The prints were double stick taped into a handmade photo album with Arches watercolor paper pages. Dust everywhere! Had I had the time to clean each one they would have been covered in dust by the time I positioned the album on the scanner bed...jf
