Don,

Possibly there was no response as no one else had a problem.  My kids 
use this extensively, I mean daily, so much so it is developing into a 
business for them.  They are making several of these a week and have 
been using the iLife4. I have watched several of their productions and 
there has been no sound problem.  If others are experiencing the same 
success that may account for the silence.  I wish I had something to 
contribute, but so far nothing.

Have you checked the knowledge base at Apple?
