i believe the camera firmware was not designed for cards above 512M. essentially, the camera firmware is corrupting the XD card keeping it from being read by the camera or either computer platform. to use this card in your olympus, call olympus service about 'sending the camera in' for the firmware update and how long that will take. i have heard they will do that for free with proof of XD card purchase if you are firm, otherwise it may cost $35-50. best...jf
