Hi,
I'm hoping someone can give me some insight here.
I currently have a powerbook G4 running 10.3.9
I have never really used an OS when it first comes
out. I usually wait a year or so. In fact, I haven't
even used 10.4 yet. But that's because I'm a little
lazy, I should have upgraded a year ago.

As I understand it, a computer can not boot up from an
earlier OS than the one with which it was shipped. I
really want to have a computer that boots into the
mature OS 10.4, I don't want to jump right into the
new 10.5 just yet.

So should I scrape the money together now, and buy an
iMac with 10.4 or can I wait. I know in the past that
around the time of a new OS release, Apple ships the
new OS along with the old with a new mac purchase.
So how long can I wait to be sure that I receive a mac
that will boot 10.4?

Thanks,
David
