Thanks Ed, that 60-second distillation was a hoot! I deleted the original download and re-loaded it this morning at 4:40 am. Results were improved until the last 20 minutes when it again degenerated rapidly until it was unwachable (still frames only) and unlistenable (chopped of sentences).
This seems unacceptable. It gives me very little confidence that I could simultaneously download and watch a rental movie over iTunes...
