I have created a slide show with 88 photos. I want to put the photos on a compact flash card and then put the card into a digital picture frame.
I'm using a 128mb card. The 88 photos are less than 41 mb total. Problem: If I try to put the photos on the root level of the compact flash card I can only put 84 photos on the card. If I try to put more than 84 photos on the card then I get a message saying the disk is full, even though I have more than 80mb of room remaining. But if I create a folder at the root level of the card I can put all 88 photos in the folder. I tried this on a 2gb compact flash memory card, too, with the same results. Why can't I put more than 84 photos on the root level of a compact flash card? Is there a work-around which will let me put all 88 photos on the root level of the card. Is this true of other kinds of cards? The digital frame can use multiple types of memory cards. So if the limitation is not on other cards I would get another type of card. Thanks.
