Ed, Thanks, this article explains why I DON'T have the moire when I scanned them in. The article says that if your scanner has descreening then you won't have this problem. The Epson software has this feature and it defaults to being checked so when I scan in from the yearbook the pictures are smooth indeed. Now when Jerry was going to have me send him a picture at a very high resolution we couldn't get it to work until I unchecked the descreening, once done with the 4900 dpi then I could check it back in.
