Join the crowd, I never know where messages are stored. They appear sometimes from hell, I believe! I even have double - two of the same kind smart mail boxes now. A sync problem-- really? I am not so sure anymore. I believe the computer wants to tell us who is the boss. Double your pleasure with double mint gum!! If I only knew how to rip out half of my stuff from the 80th and 90th, I would be happy. But sometime, somewhere--- they will appear again.

Ed,

Question. I began walking through the mailboxes and with each one I did the "rebuild". For instance in one folder I had 14 messages, after doing the rebuild I had 76 messages. The same type thing happened on several boxes. What is going on and where are these messages coming from if they have been deleted and then removed from the trash many months ago?

Ed,
How do you "rebuild" your mailbox? Is that like "Resetting Safari?"

Another tip on mail is to rebuild your mailbox every so often. It
depends on how much mail you get and how much you delete. For me I
rebuild my mailboxes once a month.
