Hello,

A volume is duped in the [Volume] directory, but is invisible
  to the Finder, so I am trying to delete the problem directory(s)
  using the Terminal app.

"JBoD_1" should be the actual volume, but is really the duped
  volume containing two (and only two) directories, which I want
  to delete. However, there is also another Volume listed as
  "JBoD_1 1" that contains all of the correct information, so I
  want to keep this one.

When trying to delete the two directories, a returned statement
  is given that it (they) are a directory. It won't delete with these
  commands I've tried as rm , sudo rm , srm , sudo srm .
System gives same reply if attempt to delete the "JBoD_1" vol.

What command will allow me to delete this problem volume?
  Thanks.

Regards,
Russ Preston
