Stuart, I know That Wacom tablets do not like being used thru a hub. I teach a online class on the ins and outs of Wacom tablets and over the years I found out what does and doesn't work with them.:) Also issues with the voltage being supplied by the hub to the device can cause interruption of the data stream which can cause a device to stop working.
