Great advice. I used to keep mine plugged in all the time, but my teenage daughter would only connect her macbook to the power when it died. Result: in 18 months, I've had to replace my battery (thank you AppleCare!), and hers is going strong.

I've always been told to let it cycle through. Charge it up and let it run down. They are not made to be plugged in all the time. Eventually the battery will quit taking and holding a charge.

I've been keeping my lovely little MacBook plugged in all the time, lately, since I've not had to take it out of the house. I've been wondering if that's a good thing--I use it most every day but the battery never gets run down. I would appreciate any guidance-- Ben Zion Hershberg
