I have it on manual.

But no matter how I check off choices, entire music library or playlists and each album checked, the new one doesn't come over to the touch.

Do you have the iPod Touch set to manually manage or auto sync?
If auto sync is it to a particular playlist.
I always set my iDevices to manually manage all content as I move stuff back and forth so much.

Anyone have any idea why I can't get te music in iTunes on my computer onto my iPod touch?

All the music syncs except the latest album I purchased (through iTunes). I purchased it Wednesday morning and immediately had it on my iMac. However I can't get it onto my iPod touch.
