Subject: [MacGroup] Need hardware info...

System hardware:
Mac Mini, 1.42 Ghz, 1 GB RAM, 80 GB HD
LaCie 250 GB Mini-hub, FW 400 & USB

One of my HD's (I assume it's the internal itself for the
Mini) has begun to make an audible 'click' sound and
then puts up the spinning beach ball accompanied by
a system stall, which repeats often.

I think I need to replace the internal drive for the Mini.

( 1 )
What ATA disk-diameter and spin-speed do I need to
shop for when shopping for an internal HD?

...[or]... (perhaps a better remedy)

( 2 )
Browsing/shopping for a new Mini, I find that a new
Mini has FW 800 and USB peripheral connections,
but no FW 400, for which I still need for some of the
peripherals I am using. Is there an adaptor out there
to use with my FW 400 add-ons that I can search for?

TIA~
Russ Preston
