I do not shut off my computers, but sometimes my Macintel goes off and then on again by itself.
As to privacy, I have given up on it a long time ago, even when I tried my Webster looking for a word, my picture came up and they wanted to know why I wanted the meaning of that particular expression. Other stuff happened. My gmail also was taken over, but I believe it was a Google issue, the company had trouble, thus many of those with email. I only use passwords where they are required and have a slew of them, never remember any anymore. Oh give me back the good old days when people answered the phones, and you did not have to press numbers only NOT to get to where you wanted to go anyhow. Yes, c'est la vie moderne!
