[Mach-II] Re: Value returned by function is not of the right type

Consider "configure" as an initializer function that is automatically
called after object creation by the framework. This only pertains to
components that extend a MachII framework component, so your
listener's configure method is automatically invoked, but a method of
the same name in your Gateway/DAO would not be.
