Hi, NEMA 23 is just basically US standard for flange size and is just very loosely coupled with electromechanical aspects of the motor. So it is hard to say. But I use 4 NEMA23 sized motors with DRV-8825 based pololu-like drivers on CRAMPS board without problems for more than two years.
