I have the same router (or at least, a Linskys Cable/DSL Router) and had
to go to the manual to refresh my memory (I hate it when that happens!).

Your router has a built in "firewall" that blocks access to your home
network as a default setting. If you open your favorite browser and
access the router's web-based utility you can change the settings to
enable you to access ONE computer that is behind the firewall. From my
understanding of the instruction manual, after you access the router with
your browser, go to the "DMZ Hosting" tab and insert the IP address of
the machine you want to be able to access. I expect that you would want
to install some sort of security software on this machine as once opened,
it would be possible for someone to "sniff out" your machine and access
your files.

Once you have opened a machine to the internet, all you have to do is set
up your server software on that computer and you can host as many sites
as you have disk space for. You might need to be cautious, as most
providers get irritated if you have too much traffic on your site through
your DSL portal.
