Must I endure a 2-5 minute delay launching Classic OS from my G4 running OS
10.2.1? Even with the ethernet cable disconnected, and only the '9.2.2
base' extensions enabled by the Classic Extensions Mgr, I watch as those
few extensions flash across the bottom of the Classic start-up screen while
the 'thermometer' loading indicator moves quickly to the right. Then
everything stops; no activity on the screen, and by the sound of it, all
disk I/O stops, and I wait, and I wait .... lots of time to go for coffee,
but it sure is annnoying. Any advice?

Greg

ps - one oddity: clicking the mouse several times between the OS X and the
OS 9.2.2 windows APPEARS to speed up the launch; I also wonder if there's
some sort of interrupt that 9.2.2 is waiting for, because if things go long
enough my OS X screen saver kicks in (at 5 mins) and presto! 9.2.2 comes to
life (once I move the mouse or strike a key and leave the screen saver.)
