The software that Linksys ships with the unit is Windows only but you 
don't need it, you should be able to access the settings via the 
browser.
The default address is 192.168.1.225. To be able to access it though 
you do need to put the iMac in the same subnet, manually set the ip 
address to something like 192.168.1.224.
I would imagine that this is all stuff that the tech should have gone 
through with you, it may well have been a bum unit that you received 
the first time.
Let me know if you want/need more explicit directions and I'll write 
some up for you.
