TIA -------------- The 192.168.x.x is an address assigned to your "local network" machines by your router. The router's address on your local network is usually 192.168.1.1. I sure can't see where your router would be causing any "clitch" with someone elses mail server. All it does is take the address your modem gets from your ISP and share it among your computers via the local network addresses. I have a 4-port router connected to a 4-port switch and often connect a 4-port hub to that. I have a 'doze box and 5 Macs connected, some to the router and some to the switch. No problems (except when my modem loses its address because Verizon "resets"). Your local network addresses shouldn't be sent to anyone by normal software unless you have opened your network to outside access.
I have sent mail using Claris Emailer - both versions 1.3 and 2.0, Outlook Express and Entourage. All work "as advertised."
