Alan,

I'm glad to hear your DSL network is working well for you but cable is working well 
for me.  I got cable modem via Earthlink/TimeWarner back in March and haven't had any 
problems with it.  I'm using it with my PowerBook 3400 and have connected a Netgear 
wireless router.
