Geno,

I had the same problem sharing files with a OS9 computer on our network.

When I put all the gigabit G4s on a seperate giga switch the problem was no more.

I have know idea why, but this may help.

Ive got a networking problem I hope someone can help me with.

My computers automatically disconnect from the server.

The server is a beige G3 DT running OS 9.2.2 - 320MB memory, macsensee E-net
card. Just using it to share files, word, excel, etc...

Router: SMC Barricade & Switch: Cnet SH-800

G4 Towers - running Panther 10.3.4 All connected with Cat-5 ethernet-100

When the G4s were running OS 9 we never had a problem.

After the upgrade to Panther is when the problem started.

Ive tried connecting with tcp/ip and appletalk. The connection just seems
to disconnect whenever it wants. I cant seem to pin it down to a set time.
