I have an SMC 7004VWBR wireless router that I want to setup a password on. But, I can't seem to figure out how to get my PowerBook(g) and iBook(b) to come up with a compatible password. The SMC is a bit old, so it's only a "b". And, the setup routine is really geared for Windows users.
Just a shot in the dark; It's 1am. I could be way off base here... I seem to recall that there were key base issues. Airport wants them in decimal and the Windoze world wants them in hex (or vice versa). Check Apple's tech library for details...
