Hi,

Thanks Fabian and Chris for the information about what those boxes are.

The first one is a 9x13 cm grey box named "CoStart LocalTalk Box". It
has a green, an orange and a red light on the front. On the back it has
a power suppy, an on/off switch and two ports that look exactly like
serial ports, labeled "LocalTalk" and "Printer", respectively.

I think Fabian is right, this is a Localtalk adaptor for a CoStar lablel
printer. If you don't want it, I'll take it. I have one of their printers
I use all the time, and putting it on the network would be great.

I can do that, however, I wonder whether you'll want to pay shipping from Switzerland (about $20)... Moreover, the power adapter works for 50 Hz, 220 V current; I guess you'll need to buy a new one on U.S. ground. Contact me off-list if you still want it to give me your address and contact information.

J.P.
