Answer: Yes I've configured the router to do PPPoE

The way it should be configured is:

A) Router connects using PPPoE (needs to be set up in the configuration page
of the router)

B) Computers DO NOT use PPPoE, they connect to the router which

"routes" their requests to the Internet. They use DHCP to find the

router (called gateway in the configs) which then gives them all the

settings they need.

Again, let me stress, you shouldn't be using PPPoE on the computers at all,
only the router needs to know about that.

Let me know the answers to these questions and the ones in my

previous post, I'm sure we can get you running.
Are you using any other computers on the router that successfully get out? My
windows PC running Windows 2000 works fine, my daughters Toshiba laptop
running Windows XP and my Beige G3 running OS 10.2.6 all work fine.

Did you properly configure the PPPoE on the Linksys? Yes

On the Linksys there is a Status tab that let's you know if it's

connected or not. What does it say? Connected
I switched routers from my Linksys BEFSR81 to my BEFSR41 and its set up to do
PPPoE, the BEFSR81 wouldn't connect via PPPoE. If anyone knows how to get the
Linksys BEFSR81 to do PPPoE I'd be ever grateful since it has 8 ports instead
of 4. Thanks Joe for your help and anyone else who has contributed to this
thread.

Brad
