I have a home LAN; SBC DSL SpeedStream 5260; Linksys WRTG54G; G4 Digital Audio 10.4.3; G3 AIO OS 9.2.2; Laserwriter Pro 630; PC Celeron 1.3 Windows XP Pro; various G3 iBooks and G3 PowerBooks connected wirelessly, and all can see and print off the LaserWriter Pro 630. I don't think I did anything special to get this
set-up to work...

You did nothing special? Lucky you! I just wanted to connect 2 little computers over a simple orange cable and went via the North Pole, through burning hoops, to the centre of the earth and back and a couple of round trips through some hitch hiker's galaxy. With respect, your info would have been totally useless to me, it would have sent me into a frenzied rage of jealosy and frustration and I would have thrown myself off a cliff. I am glad you are late to the thread, RA. But now that I have been helped to achieve what I roughly wanted, I can view your post like I do the super dooper cars that outperform my poor old 35 year old Ford at the lights, on the freeways, why hell, even in parking lots...
