iSync beta now available
By ron carlson, Insanely Great Mac
September 29th 2002
As sometimes happens, Knowledge Base articles appeared before the actual software
letting the cat out of the bag
Apple has released a beta of the previously announced iSync application. This app
promises a simplified way to keep data backed up and in in sync across different Macs,
as well as peripherals like cell phones, Palm-OS handhelds and Apple's own iPod.
Specifically, iSync provides a seamless way to synchronize data between Blue-enabled
peripherals, such as phones.
Apple's download page states iSync beta requires X.2.1 and is compatible with all
models of the iPod. Those wishing to sync with a Palm-OS device must be running v4.0
or higher. A list of iSync-compatible mobile phones is available here.
iSync beta can be downloaded here.
