Apple's browser is slick, but here are a pair of ways to make it 'kewl'
Since its introduction, Safari has created quite a stir. From Opera's threat to quit
to Apple's victorious 1 million download march, the browser has made lots of new
friends quickly.
For some, however, using the browser "as is" isn't enough. Whether that means simple
interface customization or adding new features, here are a pair of utilities to make
Safari yours.
SafarIcon 1.1.2 is a program for changing Safari's user interface by installing icons,
as well as other application resources. SafarIcon ships bundled with a number of
themed icons. Customizers can also download additional themes from Reinhold Penner
(the author)'s website.
Pith from Black Tree is a program that makes browsing multiple windows a breeze in
Safari by showing open windows in a floating palette. It also functions as a recall
app that remembers what pages were visible when (gasp) Safari crashed.
