Rumor: Final Cut Pro 4.0 Due April?

Revved FCP expected to support FireWire 800, 24fps.
It's a racing certainty that Final Cut Pro (FCP) 4.0 is on the cards at Apple, but the
question is when, and what the feature set will be.
LoopRumors is predicting FCP 4.0 in April, and state that Apple is distancing FCP 4.0
considerably from its new Prosumer Final Cut Express, which retails for hundreds of
dollars less than the Pro version.
Features reportedly include support for 800Mb/ps FireWire, 24fps [I thought it already
supported 24/25 and 29/30? - Ed], better HDTV support, built-in 3D titling, new
effects and transitions, and improved speed.
Analysis: Not a bad feature set, but Apple will need more than this to make FCP 4.0 as
significant an upgrade as FCP 3.0 was. For a lot of users [non-pro], FCP Express might
be all they need, and Apple should sell boatloads of that software.
It will also be interesting to see how quickly - if at all - camera makers adopt the
FireWire 800 standard. How beneficial the extra bandwidth would be is perhaps
questionable.
