Tokyo Apple Store details emerge
By ron carlson, Insanely Great Mac

The company is reportedly planning to open a moderately-sized storefront by Autumn

AsiaPulse reports that Apple -- quoting unnamed company sources -- will open its first
owned-and-operated Japanese store in a ritzy Tokyo shopping district this autumn.

AsiaPulse reports that the move is "part of an effort to eliminate the strong
perception among PC users in Japan that Apple's products are hard to operate and
intended for computer professionals and geeks."

A 100-square-meter store will be located on the first and second floors of a building
opposite Matsuya department store in the famous Ginza shopping area.

Editor's note: A 100-square-meter store is, well, quite small and it seems highly
unlikely that a two-story location would have a floor space that small. Perhaps an IGM
reader in Japan could shed some light on this evolving story?
