Epson previews 3 double-sided papers

For use with Stylus Pro printers in the photo, art and proofing print markets

Epson America has announced the preview of three new double-sided papers at PMA in Las
Vegas. Each of these papers is designed for use with the company's Stylus Pro line of
printers.

"With the explosive growth of digital printing, the demand for double-sided printing
has also increased," said Greg McCoy, senior product marketing manager, professional
supplies. "These new papers target our core markets of professional photography, fine
art and proofing."

In its continuing commitment to the professional digital photo, fine art and proofing
markets, Epson will be launching Epson UltraSmooth Fine Art Paper, Epson Premium
Double-Sided Photo Paper and Epson Double-Sided Ink Jet Paper in late spring. All
three papers will be compatible with Epson's dye and pigment inks.

Editor's note: Over the years I've found that results differ widely between individual
printers ? ie those carrying the same model number ? and even when one uses the
recommended, branded ink cartridges and papers. These experiences range from unusable
output from a particular set of ink cartridges to differing color/quality flaws within
the same document printed multiple times with the same printer, paper and ink.

Do you use recommend paper and inks, or do you buy whatever's cheapest? Do you think
there're real differences between branded and third-party supplies?
