Juno adds X-compatible dial up

Get dial-up service for half the price of AOL
Juno Networks (United Online) has announced the availability of a Mac version of its
value-priced Juno Platinum Internet service (dial-up). Based on strong demand and
feedback from the Mac user community, the company has developed a Juno Platinum
version for OS X users that offers a reliable and affordable means for getting online.
"With this new Mac version of Juno Platinum, Mac OS X users can finally pay less for
reliable, easy-to-use Internet service," stated Brian Woods, EVP, chief marketing
officer. "Juno now offers Mac OS X users the same popular features our PC users have
grown to love and, most importantly ... Juno Platinum is half the price of most ISP
services available to Mac users."
For $9.95 a month, Juno Platinum for OS X offers easy-to-use, reliable Internet
service with thousands of access numbers nationwide, fast connections, compatibility
with all of the most popular instant messaging programs, and Web-based e-mail that is
accessible from any Internet connection.
Editor's note: For roaming, to date, there's no nationwide, let alone worldwide
substitute for dial-up. However, lots of folks don't roam yet rely on the Internet for
all or part of their livelihood. Thereupon do you think dial-up is still relevant?
Note again that Juno's service is X only.
