InstallShield MultiPlatform 5 delivers OS X support

Here's a sure way to give your customers the willies ? deliver your software with this
previously 'Windoze-specific' installer software
InstallShield Software has announced the immediate availability of MultiPlatform TM 5,
the newest version of its cross-platform installation authoring solution.
"It's essential in delivering our solutions, that we work with other industry experts
to provide offerings that meet the demands of our business partners and customers,"
said Chris Wicher, vice president of solutions development, IBM. "InstallShield
MultiPlatform offers an easy-to-use installation experience for creating reliable
installations without worrying about specific platform needs -- providing all
end-users with the streamlined installation experience."
InstallShield MultiPlatform TM offers a single solution that addresses the unique
requirements of mutiple platforms while providing end-users with an easy and
consistent install experience, including OS X and more flavors of UNIX to enable
application installation to all major platforms. Other benefits include Java Swing
support and a host of new install actions to get installations up and running in
record speed.
MultiPlatform is available for $2,499 (SRP). Upgrades are available for previous
owners of MultiPlatform for $1,149 (SRP).
Editor's note: The words "Install is preparing..." on my Mac would give severe willies
the first few times. Ya, I'd could get used to it. But...
