Mail, newsgroup filters top the list of improvements
Mozilla.org has released Mozilla v1.3. Topping the improvements list in this latest
release of the popular open-source browser are junk-mail classification, newsgroup
filters and an initial implement of Mozilla Midas, which adds rich-text editing
controls.
Mozilla's junk-mail classification can help reduce spam with "some initial training,"
the group states. In particular, the ability to segregate .klez viruses in highlighted.
Other new/improved features include:
... Image auto sizing allows a user to toggle between full-sized images and images
sized to fit the browser window;
... Users can now "dynamically" switch profiles;
... Find as you type, formerly known as type ahead find, has a new preferences panel;
and
... When installed, Chatzilla now has a normal Mozilla preferences panel; as well as
... the usual batch of fixes for performance, standards compliance and site
compatibility.
