MacSoft reborn, website goes live

The legendary Mac game developer was sold earlier this year by Infogrames to Destineer
MacSoft's Al Schilling popped us a note to say that the company's new web portal is
now live and kicking.
"Just wanted to drop you all a line to let you know that the new MacSoft website is
live. Check it out."
Once a minor fief in Infogrames portfolio, MacSoft was sold in January to Destineer,
as reported here on IGM. As fate would have it, Destineer was founded by Peter Tamte,
who also founded MacSoft all those years ago.
The company's store is now handled through the store.yahoo.com portal. Upcoming
releases included Dungeon Siege, Unreal Tournament 2003 and Halo: Neverwinter Nights.
Editor's note: It's good that MacSoft is out of the Wintel-tainted clutches of
Infogrames (what a stupid name). Moreover, that the company is back in the hands of
its founder and merged with his other Mac game publishing concern makes this story all
the sweeter.
