I think the apreq patch requires APACI, so modperl's httpd build
may not work with it as-is.  I don't know how to fix this right now,
but you might try configuring mod_perl with

  % perl Makefile.PL USE_APACI=1  EVERYTHING=1

or somesuch.

Ah, good to know. Ken, can you confirm for me that this is the case? If so, I'll update the INSTALL.MacOSX file.
