I'm working on my knowledge of Perl by working through Spidering Hacks (O'Reilly). Right now I'm stumped as to why this hack isn't working (code can be found at http://hacks.oreilly.com/pub/h/981#code.
Besides this bug, how's the book? :)
Well, I like it so far (got the script running now, but it's returning nothing . . . puzzled because when I go to my Amazon page, I do see some recommended books).
Another hack that I'm trying to get to work is #19. I've got it all typed out, no syntax errors, etc. But it doesn't return anything at all. I have Affrus and I can see that it's going through the modules, but it kinda stops in one of the modules, then concludes without returning a list. I'd really love to get this working because I like the O'Reilly books and I'm always checking to see what's new. I'll come back to this later today to see if I can document just what is going wrong. Curious if anyone's gotten this to run . . .
