I took a look at the site at http://camelbones.sourceforge.net and looked at the Roadmap, which has a list of changes planned for 0.3.0 tentatively planned for May 2004.

Has work on this version been halted for the moment?

Not at all. Although, those dates have turned out to be a lot more tentative than planned. :-(

The *really* adventurous might want to have a look in CVS. There's good stuff in there. It compiles cleanly, but there *are* bugs - big, hairy show-stopping bugs.

In CVS:
• Runtime integration. Perl classes are registered with the Obj-C runtime, and can inherit from Obj-C classes.
• Standalone module. This can be use()d from ordinary .pl scripts.
• Standalone .app bundles. No shared framework required.
